Who is Lukáš Barda? DIGI celebrity, (non) IT guy and …

22. 3. 2021

Lukáš Barda is becoming a DIGI celebrity against his will. At this time and with his personal story, it’s no wonder. A sympathetic, 207 cm tall father of two children, an “IT guy” who speaks in non-IT form as well, experienced something that none of us wants – he got a stroke when he was less than 30 years old. He literally escaped from the gravedigger’s shovel, with consequences: he already knows what he doesn’t want and won’t do. And luckily for the rest of us, he wants to talk about it.

If you recognize Lukáš, we have some tips for you:

  • Don’t call or write him e-mails on the weekend and after 6.30 pm – he is out-off DIGITAL!
  • When you meet him, he’ll probably smile at you from the TOP – don’t take it personally.

To give you a chance to get to know Lukáš even more personal than before, we have prepared a short interview for you. He didn’t say too much! Why? Because can find out more on the webinar, which will be about life with and without technology. The main question will be whether to be digital or whether it is better to disconnect. You can look forward to the webinar on April 22, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. More detailed information can be found at the link here.

Which questions do we have?

What is home for you?

One wife and two children – 5 and 3 years old.

Where do you buy shoes?

Good question, I have a size 50, so there aren’t many options. There are two shops in Prague, but they have a very similar assortment, so I have practically one possibility. Luckily, I have it behind the house on Žižkov. And I don’t try online shopping again – when I tried, it went wrong.

Do you need a stepladder when painting?

No. And everybody’s having fun. I don’t know why! It’s pretty practical; I can get anywhere!

How did you get into lecturing, and what did you do before?

I studied at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of Czech Technical University in Prague and then gained experience at Accenture and Česká spořitelna.

What’s your favourite sport?

Hockey and surfing. You need a balance for both, so it’s not quite what it used to be. But I’m trying to come back.

What’s your favourite sweet?

Definitely a pushed poppy seed pie.

The last movie that you saw on Netflix?

The High score about the history of video games. But watching spoils my screen time average, which I show people on courses.

Who are you following on Instagram?

Nobody 🙂

What is it like to get a stroke?

Quick. Verry quick!
